The upcoming feature film adaptation of Capcom’s iconic ‘Street Fighter’ video game is leveling up with a dose of comedy, with Andrew Schulz joining the ensemble cast. While not officially confirmed, insiders suggest he’ll be portraying fan-favorite character Dan Hibiki.

Schulz joins an already star-studded lineup that includes Andrew Koji, Noah Centineo, Jason Momoa, Roman Reigns, and Orville Peck. The project is being helmed by ‘Bad Trip’ director Kitao Sakurai.

Another major addition to the cast is Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson, who will take on the role of Balrog — a disgraced former boxing champ who now works as a bodyguard for the villainous M. Bison. Sources reveal Jackson is undergoing intensive training for the role and plans to perform his own stunts.

Beyond stand-up, Schulz has had a standout year. His Flagrant Pod podcast is one of the top comedy shows and was recently spotlighted by The New York Times thanks to its high-profile political guests. He also appears in the new season of Netflix’s ‘Tires’ with Shane Gillis and recently released his latest stand-up special ‘Andrew Schulz: Life’ on the platform.

As for Jackson, the Grammy-winning artist has sold over 30 million albums and built a TV empire with his ‘Power’ franchise for Starz. His G-Unit Film & Television banner also produced ABC’s ‘For Life’ and has just wrapped production on season four of ‘Black Mafia Family’ for Starz, along with the second season of its companion docuseries.

‘Street Fighter,’ which debuted in 1987, is one of the most legendary fighting game franchises in history. Known for its intense one-on-one battles featuring a diverse lineup of martial artists, the series often revolves around a global tournament run by the sinister M. Bison and his Shadaloo organization. With over 55 million copies sold worldwide, ‘Street Fighter’ remains one of the most successful video game franchises ever created.
