Kate Winslet To Make Directorial Debut With ‘Goodbye June’ For Netflix, Cast Includes Toni Collette And Helen Mirren

Kate Winslet is set to make her directorial debut with the Netflix film ‘Goodbye June,’ in which she will also act. The film features top-tier talent including Toni Collette, Johnny Flynn, Andrea Riseborough, Timothy Spall, and Helen Mirren, all in supporting roles.
The production team includes producers Kate Solomon and Kate Winslet, with the script penned by Joe Anders.
Set in contemporary England, ‘Goodbye June’ is a fictional drama that combines humor and emotional depth as it follows a group of estranged siblings who come together during challenging times. Netflix has announced that production on the film will commence soon.
Most recently, Winslet appeared in the movie ‘Lee,’ which was showcased at the 2023 Toronto Film Festival and is available in theaters and on PVOD. Directed by Ellen Kuras, the film features Winslet portraying Elizabeth ‘Lee’ Miller, a fashion model who became a World War II photographer.
Among her numerous roles, Winslet's performances in ‘Titanic,’ ‘Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind,’ and ‘Revolutionary Road’ are particularly notable. The actress has received seven Oscar nominations and won the Best Actress Oscar for her role in ‘The Reader’ (2008), where she played a former concentration camp guard.
