CONFIRMED: Tom Holland is set to star in Christopher Nolan’s next feature film. The actor joins Matt Damon in the undisclosed project.

Christopher Nolan will direct the project from his own script, and the film has found a home at Universal Pictures (who will distribute) — after the major success of Best Picture winner ‘Oppenheimer.’

Nolan also serves as producer alongside producing partner and wife Emma Thomas for Syncopy.

Though plot details are under wraps, Universal has confirmed the film’s release date of July 17, 2026.

This will be Nolan’s second collaboration with Universal, after the financial and critical success of ‘Oppenheimer,’ earning $976 million worldwide as an R-rated, 3-hour biopic.

Universal and Nolan partnered after the filmmaker publicly left longtime home Warner Bros. in late 2020.

Matt Damon has proven to be a key part of Nolan’s ever-returning cast members, having worked with the filmmaker on ‘Interstellar’ (2014) and ‘Oppenheimer’ (2023). However, this will be Tom Holland’s first collaboration with the Oscar-winning director.

Insiders suggest that Holland’s schedule is packed with productions, such as ‘Spider-Man 4’ and ‘Avengers: Doomsday,’ but will not impact Nolan’s next feature.
